Hydraulic Breaker Chisel Replacement: How to Order the Correct Tool
When a hydraulic breaker chisel becomes worn or damaged, replacing it sounds simple—but choosing the correct replacement tool is important.
Different hydraulic breakers use different chisel dimensions, shank configurations and retaining systems. A tool that looks similar to your old one may not necessarily be the correct fit.
So, what information should you provide when ordering a hydraulic breaker chisel replacement?
1. Start With Your Breaker Model
The easiest way to identify the correct chisel is to provide the hydraulic breaker brand and model.
Different brands and models can use different tool specifications. We supply replacement chisels for various hydraulic breakers, including models from brands such as Soosan, MSB, Furukawa, Atlas Copco, Komatsu and others.
If you know your breaker model, include it in your inquiry.
For example:

Part: Hydraulic Breaker Chisel
Quantity: 20 pcs
This gives the supplier a useful starting point for checking the correct tool.
2. Send Photos of Your Existing Chisel
If you are not sure about the exact model or part number, don’t worry.
Clear photos of your existing chisel can be very helpful.
Ideally, send:
- A full-length photo
- A photo of the working end
- A photo of the shank
- A photo of the breaker nameplate, if available
Photos can help identify the tool type and compare its configuration with available specifications.
Don’t throw away the old chisel before taking photos. Even a worn or damaged tool can provide useful information.
3. Provide Basic Dimensions if Available
When the breaker model is unknown, measurements can make identification easier.
Useful information may include:
- Overall length
- Tool diameter
- Shank diameter
- Retainer groove dimensions
You don’t need to measure everything before contacting us.
If you have the breaker model and clear photos, send those first. We can let you know if additional measurements are needed.
4. Choose the Right Tool Type
Hydraulic breaker chisels are available in different working-end designs for different applications.
Moil Point – Suitable for applications where penetration is important.
Wedge Type – Commonly used for cutting, trenching and certain demolition work.
Blunt Tool – Often used for crushing and breaking hard materials.
Cone Type – Used for specific breaking applications depending on the material and working conditions.
If you are not sure which type you need, simply tell us what material you are working with and provide your breaker model.
5. Tell Us Your Quantity
When requesting a quotation, don’t forget to include the quantity you need.
